Philippians 2 (https://philippians2.com/) is an organization serving the homeless population in the Columbus area. They make their rounds on Tuesdays to deliver meals, hygiene products, clothing, propane, shelter supplies, and more. If you saw them in action, you would have no idea which group they are a part of. They are focused on the mission, not the attention.

Mission Overview

  • Purpose: Philippians 2 provides food, hygiene products, shelter (tents, sleeping bags), and essential services to the homeless community in Columbus.
  • History: The organization was founded in 2013 but its roots originate back to 2002 with passing out food bags at camps.
  • Approach: The team conducts weekly visits to homeless "camps" to distribute hot meals and supplies while offering prayer, hope, and guidance on obtaining medical care or permanent housing.
